If you look closely, you can see little bits of green in my lettuce tub. Yippee, i am so excited.

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. It's so exciting when the first seeds germinate, and that feeling never goes away no matter how long you've been gardening. My favourite time in the gardening year is spring when it's seed sowing time. Before I got my allotment I used to grow lots of things in containers and everything did well. I'm sure you will have just as much success, and I look forward to following your progress this year.
ReplyDeleteOoh I am jealous.....no green shoots in mine. But watch out for the slugs and snails...they love green shoots. Even on your balcony they will sniff them out. Slug pellets - more expense - but very worth it and they last forever....only need a few sprinkled around. U will soon be awash with lettuce. FF x
ReplyDeleteDo you really think that slugs will crawl up to the balcony. I was convinced i would be slug free as i hate the little blighters.
